Responsibilities:
- Help prepare food in the morning according to reservations and dietary requests. Clean, sanitize and set tables for service.
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner. Take tea orders and plate food for service.
- Clear tables and clean dining area after guests have finished their meals
- Assist with bussing tables and resetting them for the next guests
- Process payments accurately using Toast terminals.
- Provide menu recommendations and answer any questions about the menu
- Communicate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate food preparation.
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and courteous manner
- Monitor tables and respond promptly to guest requests or concerns
- Maintain a clean and organized work station
Requirements:
- Previous experience in hospitality or guest relations is required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with guests in a friendly manner
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change (must settle register at end of night and do cash drops)
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds
- Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and safety guidelines is a plus
