Under the supervision of the Noodle Bar Assistant Manager, a Server provides exceptional personalized service and ensures all guest's needs are met in a prompt and efficient manner. They must set priorities and simultaneously manage multiple tasks. A Server should be able to react to guest requests, challenges and unusual situations in a skilled manner. They will have the ability to provide intuitive service ensuring VIP guests are consistently wowed. A Server will stay informed and know all hotel/casino facilities and services, special events and local attractions. They must be able to initiate and engage in conversation in a professional and friendly manner while maintaining confidentiality. He/she must present a professional appearance that guests and team members will find appealing and approachable.
Responsibilities(These functions are intended as a general illustration of the work performed in this job classification and are not all inclusive for this position)
- Promote Hard Rock Mission, Mottos and Values to Amplified Service.
- Provide personalized service to our guests in the Asian Gaming Suite.
- Greets all VIP Hard Rock guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Takes food and beverage orders maintaining excellent knowledge of all Hard Rock dining venues.
- Serves meals, snacks, tea, hors d'oeuvres, non-Alcoholic beverages and other food and beverage items in Asian Gaming Suite from both casual and fine dining restaurants.
- Arranges for restaurant reservations and requests to ensure guests receive priority service.
- Coordinates special requests made by the guests on behalf of the guests, Casino Host or other management.
- Purchases specialty items for guests with the approval of their Casino Host and or guests.
- Is efficient and well organized and maintain adequate set up of the Asian Gaming Suite area daily.
- Communicates effectively with Noodle Bar management to ensure all food/beverage orders are correct and receive priority service.
- Is responsible for adequate par stock of food/beverage, china, flatware, glassware, linen, dry/paper products to meet business demand.
- Check Asian Gaming Suite before and during each shift to ensure proper set up and cleanliness are maintained.
- Always maintain cleanliness of guest area, including removing dining plates, empty beverage cups and or containers.
- Completes all side work duties prior to shift end to set their peers up for success.
- Conducts an informative and detail-oriented pass down between shifts.
- Report any facilities issue to management.
- Attends training classes as requested by management to assist in furthering their knowledge and skills.
- Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of the job.
- Performs all services, duties and tasks as defined in SOPs.
- Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing work and public spaces.
- Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Attend seminars when needed.
EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis)
- Two years college preferred as well as a minimum (2) two years management experience in first class hotel, casino, restaurant or related hospitality area.
- A basic understanding of food and beverage service skills including room service, fine dining, wine and spirits knowledge or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), guest service and interpersonal skills.
- Must present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality, while being able to project a professional demeanor.
- Commitment to routinely go above and beyond in the accomplishment of position responsibilities to play a role in the achievement of organizational goals.
- Ability to deliver a service level which creates an atmosphere that makes our guests want to return, giving each guest a positive, memorable entertainment experience.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc):
- Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Indiana Gaming Commission.
- Must successfully pass background check.
- Must successfully pass drug screening.
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
- Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts.
KNOWLEDGE OF:
- Food, beverage, and wine service.
- Table service procedures and table etiquette.

ABILITY TO:

- Be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.

- Restock needed materials and retrieve dropped items.
- Transport trays and/or plates throughout the restaurant and casino, which may weigh up to 50 pounds, as well as serve food items and beverages.
- Take orders, recite specials, and point specific items out on the menu to customers. Use machines and equipment including, but not limited to: include coffee machine, beverage dispenser, microwave, toaster, and Point-of Service System.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
