Server is responsible for providing friendly and responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all guests. The Server acts as a sales and customer service representative for the restaurant.
1. Hospitality Welcomes and greets guests. Acts as primary provider of hospitality/service product to guests.
2. Food and beverage service Follows standardized steps of service. Takes food and beverage orders from guests and enters into POS system. Uses problem solving and critical thinking skills to maximize efficiency.
3. Food and beverage sales Keeps abreast of food and beverage knowledge and trends. Increases guests' perceived value with menu knowledge. Uses active listening skills to maximize sales. Meets sales goals.
4. General Follows applicable company policies and procedures.

High school diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred. Ability to communicate clearly in English. Must have knowledge of standard customer service practices, excellent social perceptiveness and well-developed time management skills. Must have excellent critical thinking, complex problem solving and active learning skills. Must have a sense of urgency. Must have knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions. Must have exceptional grooming habits. Must possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate point-of-sale system. The ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours). The ability to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food weighing up to 25 pounds.
