Engaging personalities provide friendly service to the membership in the Courtside Café. Restaurant experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate. Courtside Café servers are a one-stop shop of the trade: Taking orders, interacting with members, making smoothies, delivering food, bussing tables, and brewing up cappuccinos. Courtsiders do it all!
The Casual Dining server is ideal for a fun part time gig or an entry level full-time position at the Club. The courtside dining server is a counter service position.
Candidates must be 18 yrs of age.
Job Summary:
Provide food and beverage service to club members and guests
Job Tasks:
- Sets up the restaurant and performs assigned side work.
- Provides immediate attention to all members and guests upon seating.
- Presents menus and answers questions.
- Takes members’ and guests’ orders; suggestively sells food and beverage items, if appropriate.
- Places orders with kitchen; informs cooks about any special cooking instructions.
- Serves meals; places dishes by courses in front of each person.
- Checks back to ensure member and guest satisfaction
- Removes soiled dishes.
- Prepares smoothies according to recipes
- Prepares and servers wine, beer and cocktails
- Takes takeout orders over the phone
- Verifies accuracy of member billing when closing out the shift
- Keeps tables, dining room and bus station areas clean.
- Advises supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occur.
- Performs clean-up and closing duties as assigned by manager.
- Attends pre-meal meetings
- Thanks members and guests; invites them to return.
- Consistently follows local and state laws and the club’s policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages to members and guests.
- Performs other appropriate duties assigned by the manager
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years server experience
- 18 years old or older
- Energetic personality and strong work ethic
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to make quick decisions and solve problems
- Available to work flexible hours
- Team Player attitude
Requirements:
- Adherence to professional appearance standards & club policies
- Ability to lift 25-50 lbs
- Constantly standing, walking, and reaching during shift
