Essential Responsibilities:

  • Welcomes guests immediately upon seating.
  • Offers menu suggestions, answers questions, and anticipates guests’ needs.
  • Ensures adherence to liquor liability laws and practices responsible beverage service.
  • Takes guest drink and food orders, enters them on POS register, and ensures satisfaction.
  • Lifts trays, carries entrees/drinks, garnishes, and serves items for guests and other servers’ guests.
  • Attends to additional guest needs/requests.
  • Prepares non-mixed drinks, soups, and salads.
  • Presents, receives payment for guests’ checks, buses, and resets tables.
  • Maintains guests’ needs by removing items and refilling beverages.
  • Removes dishes/glasses, carries bus tub load to the dish room, unloads dishes.
  • Uses sanitizing solution to wipe down tables, chairs, booths, and table bases.
  • Resets tables using designated items and maintains service stations, garnish line, service bar, and common area.
  • Restocks service station, garnish line, and fills condiments, washing server trays, sorting silverware, preparing roll-ups, cleaning mirrors, artifacts, sweeping, and mopping floors.
  • Comfortable with various equipment, including POS systems and beverage machines.

  • Pleasant, polite team member with a neat and clean appearance.
  • Strong leadership, management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Problem-solving ability, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver results and work well with diverse personalities, maintaining tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize.

Hours:

  • Due to the nature of the business, scheduling may vary and include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of customer service or restaurant experience.
  • Must be of age to serve alcoholic beverages and able to obtain a liquor card if required by state law.

Physical Requirements:

  • Light Work: Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects. Requires significant walking or standing.
  • May be required to lift in excess of 40 pounds on occasion.

Physical Activity:

  • Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, typing, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, repetitive motion.

Environmental Conditions:

  • Inside: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. A job is considered “inside” if the worker spends approximately 75 percent or more of the time inside.
