KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interact with guests in a warm and friendly manner
- Prepares dining room for guests by cleaning and setting tables; setting decorations, condiments, candles, linen, service plates, and utensils
- Protects restaurant and guests by adhering to sanitation and safety policies
- Maintains menu presentation by keeping menus clean; replacing damaged or soiled pages
- Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to guest spills or other special needs
- Supports server by setting-up and replenishing condiment stands, trash containers liners and service/bus stations
- Closes dining room by cleaning chairs and tables; sweeping and/or vacuuming floors and removing trash and recyclables from the facility
- Updates job knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by leader
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or related preferred
- Minimum 1+ years experience in a high-end restaurant preferred
- Current Food Handler’s certification
- Friendly, courteous, and well-spoken
- Works well with a team
- Organized and detail oriented with the ability to be flexible
- An appetite for growth and further knowledge in the food and beverage field
- Operate with passion, integrity, and respect for both internal team members and external guests
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move product, equipment and supplies up to fifty (50) pounds
- Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching.
- Exposure to temperatures: <32 degrees Fahrenheit (freezers), 32-40 degrees Fahrenheit (refrigerators), >90 degrees Fahrenheit.
