Pareto Frontier is looking for a unique individual passionate about turning the most innovative ideas and concepts into reality. The Senior or Principal Signal Processing Scientist will be involved in the conception, development, implementation and verification of advanced Signal Processing-oriented solutions across multiple technology areas. Proficiency with advanced algorithm research & development, real-time Signal Processing, and MATLAB-based modeling and simulation are required. The ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated, ambitious and comfortable assuming many roles within an intense, fast-paced start-up environment.
Required Skills:
- Proven ability to innovate and apply novel solutions to challenging problems within the RF Signal Processing / Wireless Communications field.
- Experience working as the systems-architect responsible for transitioning algorithms to FPGA/Software Engineering team for hardware implementation.
- Signal Processing expertise (PhD or 5 years min experience): Deep understanding of DSP fundamentals such as: Time/Frequency domain representations and analysis, Digital filtering/resampling techniques, fixed point processing, and computational complexity analysis. Background in Statistical Signal Processing (Detection and Estimation Theory) is highly desired.
- Experience working in an electronics lab environment: knowledge and ability to use RF test equipment (such as oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, and vector signal analyzer)

Desired Skills:
- Extensive Background in RF/Wireless Communications-oriented Signal Processing
- MS/PhD is preferred but Bachelor's with 5-10 years minimum experience will be considered based on the individual.
Export Control Requirement: This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
- Must meet eligibility criteria to obtain and maintain a Secret-level clearance (post-hire), typically only awarded to U.S. citizens.
- All candidates must also successfully pass a Commercial Background Investigation (CBI).
