ZF Transmissions Gray Court, LLC has openings for the position of Senior ZF Production System Specialist based out of its location in Gray Court, SC.
Job Duties: Responsible to propose, architect, and implement Production System solutions (e.g., continuous improvement, lean manufacturing methods/tools) for plant processes and related data; Coordinate projects & strategies regarding Production System methodologies & continuous improvement activities; Work with cross-functional personnel to align and synchronize tasks, improvement objectives and corrective action measures; Drive, design lean management system processes, strategies and Lean Roadmaps, and ensure completion of related documentation; Serve as escalation point and provide input on team & plant performance; Develop Lean roadmaps for implementation & sustainability within production facility (e.g., 5S initiatives, Lean Manufacturing Philosophy, One-Piece Flow, Standardized Work, Line Balancing, Pull Systems, Waste Identification & Reduction, Visual Management); Support development/improvement of KPIs; Serve as technical liaison and trainer/coach for Production System/continuous improvement projects, and as internal consultant to peers, plant personnel, & engineering for continuous improvement activities (e.g., Shopfloor management, 5S, TPM, Line Balancing, Standardize work, changeover time analysis, Value stream analysis, layout planning); and Perform technical analyses of shop floor procedures & processes, and provide Production System recommendations. Position requires up to 5% travel to domestic and international ZF locations to support workshops, evaluations and trainings related to the ZF Production System.
Requirements: Associate’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics Management, Computer Science, or related field, plus 5 years of experience in the automotive industry in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, or related occupations, and demonstrated experience with the following: Shopfloor Management; Value Stream Analysis and Design; Lean Evaluation; Lean Correlation Matrix; Six Sigma; A3; Kaizen workshops; Lean Line Design; Mockup methodology; Lean manufacturing implementation; Kanban implementation; TPM Implementation; Low Cost Intelligent Automation (LCIA); Changeover optimization; OKR coaching; SCRUM; Power BI; Power App; SAP; SCASE; IQS; Shopfloor Management Coach; and OKR (Objective Key Result) Coach or Hoshin Kanri Deployment.
