Form of workDesign and integrate systems and applications into microcontroller components into a complete product for the electronic communications industry. Design, simulate and verify PHY layer and system level algorithms in wireless chipsets. Deploy concepts from wireless communications theory to design cutting-edge algorithms for wireless transceivers. Build detailed system models in C/C++/Matlab and perform complex system simulations/analysis to characterize PHY and system performance. Validate and optimize signal processing solutions on silicon. Evaluate bring-up results, root-cause deficiencies and develop improvements to applicable system modules. Investigate advanced PHY layer and system level algorithms for next-generation wireless technologies. Develop software system models and prototypes of forward-looking wireless technologies to evaluate the system performance and validate the feasibility.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, foreign equivalent or related field.
Required skills:
Position requires completion of a graduate-level course, research project, internship or thesis involving:
- Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and wireless Communications theories;
- DSP and machine learning algorithm development for digital communications system based on OFDM and MIMO technologies, such as IEEE 802.11 family of standards;
- System modeling using C/C++ or MATLAB to characterize DSP system performance.
A reasonable estimate of the base salary range as of the date of this posting is: $160,000
The base salary range for this position is as mentioned below per year. We also provide competitive benefits, incentive compensation, and/or equity for certain roles.

Please note that the base salary range (OR hourly rate) is a guideline, and individual total compensation may vary based on a number of factors such as qualifications, skill level, work location, and other business and organizational needs. This base pay range is specific to California and is not applicable to other locations. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range as of the date of this posting is:
$173,840 to $239,000 annually
