Senior Wetland Delineator
Southern CA

What You Will Do
The Senior Wetland Delineator will conduct or oversee jurisdictional delineations pursuant to methods established by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) for the Arid West Region and other agencies, as appropriate. You will plan and execute field assignments for southern California-based work which includes conducting delineations, surveys and monitoring pursuant to the relevant regulations, codes and/or industry standards as well as be responsible for task management, writing sections of technical reports and drafting monitoring reports. You will join an existing team of Natural Resources professionals that includes wildlife biologists, botanists, aquatic resource biologists (waters, wetlands, and riparian areas), restoration ecologists, and regulatory specialists and will work closely with ICF project managers. You must be able to travel to field sites in Southern California, including, San Diego, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, Los Angeles, and Ventura Counties and may conduct work at project sites across Southern California that require travel away from home and overnight stays. The position can be based in Southern CA with office locations in San Diego, Irvine, Los Angeles, CA, and the option to work remotely within Southern California.
What You Must Have

  • A BA/BS in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science or a related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience conducting jurisdictional delineations and preparing jurisdictional delineations using standard agency protocols and guidance
  • 4+ years of environmental/consulting field experience
  • Must have valid driver's license and successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.

What We would Like You to Have
  • Experience supporting project permit applications under the Clean Water Act (Sections 401 and 404), Porter-Cologne Water Quality Control Act, and Section 1600 of the State Fish and Game Code for the Corps, SWRCB/RWQCB, and CDFW
  • California Rapid Assessment Method (CRAM)
  • Compensatory Mitigation Planning (HMMP, Mitigation Banks, and/or In-lieu Fee Programs)
  • Experience preparing proposal scope and budgets
  • Knowledge of Southern California botanical and/or wildlife resources
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to respond timely to deployment requests (i.e., sometimes next day)
  • Ability to travel to field sites in Southern California and occasionally assist with surveys in rugged, undeveloped terrain.
  • Ability and experience conducting work in active construction sites and communicating with operators.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Basic documentation/data management experience
  • Geographic Information System (GIS) software skills

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is:
$72,402.00 - $123,084.00
