Job Summary
Our Avient IT team is seeking an experienced webMethods Analyst who is open to expanding their skillset to include SAP BTP. Avient is upgrading its middleware solution as part of upgrading its SAP systems to a single global instance of SAP S/4HANA. In this role, you will support the webMethods landscape and existing integrations as you receive training to support your growth into supporting the SAP BTP landscape, over time. You will identify requirements for and build interfaces between SAP, local systems, cloud solutions, and business partners. You will be part of a global project team deploying S/4HANA in over 40 countries. This position supports Avient's B2B, A2A, and B2G integrations. You will work with AS2, X12, and EDIFACT EDI standards, as well as SFTP and API integrations. Responsibilities include developing specifications, building and modifying interfaces, testing, supporting training, executing cutover steps, and providing post go-live hypercare. While this role will be primarily performed remotely some travel may be required.
Essential Functions
Modifies and creates interfaces between SAP ECC, S/4HANA and other systems and partners.
Gathers requirements for local regulations and unique application requirements for new project requests.
Prepares and executes unit and integration testing. Supports user acceptance testing.
Maintain relevant technical documentation to ensure streamlined support and knowledge transfer within areas of responsibility.
Provides hypercare support after each go-live. Troubleshoots and resolves issues impacting the business.
Works on production support/break-fix incidents using Avient's ServiceNow platform.
Provides technical and functional support for a key middleware platform.
Other duties and projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience
Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science, Business, Information Systems or related business field required
10 years of experience in middleware analyst roles
Software AG webMethods Integration Server / Trading Networks experience required
SAP BTP Integration Suite experience preferred
Experience implementing or supporting a middleware platform is preferred
Experience with the Agile methodology and Jira software is preferred
Ability to work independently and as a part of a global team at all levels is required
Excellent collaboration skills within a team, across other IT functions, and with business users is required
Superior trouble-shooting and problem solving skills is required
