About the role
The Senior Wealth Advisor is a pivotal role within 49 Financials’ Wealth Management division, responsible for managing, retaining, and growing a book of clients. With a strong emphasis on providing unparalleled service, the Senior Wealth Advisor ensures that clients’ ongoing investment and planning needs are met, while continually deepening relationships and exploring avenues for growth. This position requires expertise in fee-for-advice agreements and broad financial planning topics across areas of risk management, accumulation, distribution, tax planning, estate planning, charitable giving, small business financial planning, and more.
What you’ll do
Client Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with a portfolio of clients, ensuring consistent communication and understanding of their financial goals and objectives.
- Conduct regular review meetings to assess clients' financial progress, adjusting strategies as necessary to keep them aligned with their goals.
Financial Planning & Advisory:
- Deliver comprehensive financial planning, advice, and investment strategies tailored to individual client needs.
- Analyze investment opportunities and client needs, and recommend appropriate strategies
- Monitor clients' financial situations, ensuring plans are up-to-date and addressing life changes, market conditions, or legislative changes.
Business Growth & Client Retention:
- Seek opportunities to deepen relationships with existing clients through additional financial products, services, or investment options.
- Collaborate with the business development team to explore opportunities for referrals and new client acquisition.
- Address and resolve client concerns promptly, aiming for a high retention rate.
Collaboration & Teamwork:
- Work closely with other departments, including investment, operations, and customer service teams, to ensure client needs are met promptly and efficiently.
- Contribute to team discussions, share insights, and collaborate on strategies for overall business growth.
Continuous Learning & Professional Development:
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, regulatory changes, and investment strategies.
- Participate in training sessions, workshops, and seminars to further enhance advisory skills and knowledge.
What you need
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field
- CFP® or equivalent is preferred
- Experience in fee-for-advice agreement
- Experience with broad financial planning topics including: risk management, accumulation, distribution, tax planning, estate, charitable giving, small businesses, etc.
- 5-10 years of experience in wealth management or financial advisory roles, with a track record of managing and growing client portfolios.
- Strong understanding of the financial markets, investment strategies, and financial planning.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for client service.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Client satisfaction and retention rates.
- Growth in the depth of business with existing clients.
- Number of successful financial plans implemented.
- Feedback from clients and peers on the quality of service and advice.
