Senior Ux/Ui Designer (Part Time Contract)

MOTER Technologies, Inc. is developing new technologies to unlock the world of connected car data for the automotive, mobility and insurance ecosystems. Our advanced data science and software platform creates new insights from vehicle data to power the next generation of risk analytics and insurance solutions. The technology and business platform allow automakers to finally realize their connected car data monetization goals and improve their ROI in this growing space. 

Job Overview:

This role reports to Director of Engineering and is responsible for designing intuitive user interfaces based on user centered design principles. This is a part-time, contracted position with a maximum commitment of 10 hours per week. The contract duration is 3 months with the possibility of extension based on project requirements and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and user needs.
• Design and deliver high-quality, visually appealing, and intuitive user interfaces based on user-centered design principles.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to effectively communicate design concepts.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback and iteratively enhance designs.
• Be current with industry trends, design best practices, and emerging technologies.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Expertise in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or similar.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and usability.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• A portfolio showcasing a diverse range of UI/UX projects.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• 10+ years of professional experience in UI/UX design.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering visually stunning and user-friendly designs for web and mobile applications.
• Ability to solve problems, think critically, and communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
• Ability to learn new technology

Office Location:

• Torrance, CA
• Remote

Compensation:

• For California based hires:
  Estimated $100-$200/hourly
