DUAL North America, Inc. is seeking an Underwriter, to join its subsidiary NBIS. The underwriting position will be responsible for the totality of the risk underwriting process including selection, pricing and sale. Additionally, the underwriting function is accountable for managing designated producer relationships.
Essential Functions:
- Evaluates, selects classify and rates/prices each risk; establishes the standards of coverage and amount of protection to be offered.
- Insures submissions meet underwriting standards for the program and can produce a profit
- Adequately prices and sells/retains acceptable profitable risks.
- Be a professional liaison with producers and the carrier on behalf of the program
- Develops and maintains a positive working relationship with producers, carrier and staff
- Maintains a current knowledge of Company, Carrier, regulatory, competitive, territorial and coverage changes in respective lines of business underwritten.
- Participates in company underwriting and producer reviews.
- Works within the parameters of guidelines set for the program, by the company and by the carrier and/or reinsurers
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- College graduate and/or applicable insurance industry training and/or experience
- Three years of underwriting experience is required with a consistent high level of performance and achievement in handling deadlines and projects.
- Construction industry experience is preferred.
