Apex Legends is looking for a Senior User Interface Artist to come join us in expanding the Apex Universe. This position will give you the opportunity to work with an exciting IP, and ship new experiences to players around the world. Reporting to our UI Art Lead, you will develop beautiful and readable interfaces, celebrations, thematic decks, mood boards, icons, and more to help create a seamless and enjoyable experience for our players. You will provide a variety of deep challenges for in-game modes, new meta-features, and fine tuning of epic moments, in and out of game.
What you will do...
  • Work with the UI lead, Principal, and other artists and departments to develop the visual language and aesthetic of the UI
  • Create high-fidelity screens, iconography, and interface components that inspire and align with UX/UI goals and accessibility standards
  • Improve on visual concepts and cohesive systems based on critical feedback, reference, and creative direction
  • Work with engineers and UI technical designers to implement visual designs and final assets
  • Work with UX designers on the player experience vision and goals
  • Work with producers and directors to estimate and prioritize work
  • Collaborate with an inclusive attitude, learning quickly, adapting, and educating others
  • Present work and articulate rationale and design decisions
Ideally, you will have...
  • 6+ years of professional game development experience, working in game engines
  • 3+ years of actively playing FPS or high skill games
  • Mastery of relevant software packages such as Photoshop and Illustrator
  • A desire to maintain and elaborate on efficient UX/UI development processes and pipelines
  • Hands-on experience developing interactive user interfaces with a large professional team
  • An understanding of graphic design principles, typography, layout, color, iconography
  • Context switch between evolving priorities and feature handoffs and overlaps
  • Portfolio demonstrating unique UI art and design work, including shipped games
  • An understanding of the gamer mindset and ability to advocate for the players
Nice To Have
  • Motion graphics technical skill set with an eye for animation
  • Experience working in and with 3D assets
  • Close proximity to Los Angeles or Vancouver (not required)

US COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.
BASE SALARY RANGES
• California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):
º $113,300 - $171,700 USD Annually
• New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo):
º $111,500 - $171,700 USD Annually
• Jersey City, NJ :
º $126,700 - $171,700 USD Annually
• Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs):
º $111,500 - $144,000 USD Annually
• Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane):
º $111,500 - $157,300 USD Annually
Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
