Senior Transportation Manager

○ Requirement

Candidate must be fluent in English and Korean languages.

· 10~15 years of logistics experience

· A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field

· 3PL management experience along with strong procurement background in logistics

· Working experience with auto industry or major US 3rd party logistics is a plus

· Must have prior experience negotiating freight rates with carriers

· Responsible for identifying cost/service impacts and making recommendations to support business initiatives and requirements

· Must be familiar with FMCSA/DOT and various state regulatory rules

· Must have strong leadership skills, with excellent oral and written communication skills

· Strong customer (internal and external) solutions experience – superior verbal, written, and telephone communication skills

· Must have exceptional computer skills with MS Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint presentation development

○ Responsibilities and duties:

· Manage on HMMA and Kia GA local part supply transportation/procurement operation

(Including stabilization operation, rate negotiation and customer management)

· Manage on steel scrap trading generated by HMMA, Kia GA and local vendors (processing bidding to select vendor to perform all required management)

· Manage on sales/lease on equipment (forklift, tuggers and etc.) for new or current customers

· Manage on container chassis operation (location management, DOT inspection and maintenance)

· Daily operation including but not limited to performing on-site evaluation of transportation services as necessary to obtain safe, efficient and cost effective transportation services

· Manage the department quality management process, system documentation, and all internal approval process

· Manage on yearly team business plan and monthly operation performance analysis(Sales/Loss and Profit)

· Manage main customer account (contract, AR, Operation and etc.)

· Prepare monthly department analysis report

· Monitor operations to ensure that staffs comply with administrative policies and procedures, safety rules and government regulations

· Manage all contracts and all sales related to department

· Manage on minimizing account claims and incidents but not limited

· Response to HQ request and make a report for response.

· Negotiate and authorize contracts with carriers and customers, and monitor contract fulfillment

Pay Range: $107,000-$132,000

Relocation Expenses: If moving from within the state of Alabama, expenses will be paid up to $5,000. If moving from outside the state of Alabama, expenses will be paid up to $10,000.

Car Lease Program: Candidate will be given an allowance to participate in Hyundai Glovis' car lease program.

Pay: $107,000.00 - $132,000.00 per year
