Senior Training Specialist with Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility
THE POSITION
The Training Manager and Curriculum Developer will be working directly with the JSSC Program Manager, alternate Program Manager, Team Leads and key government leaders within JSSC training end customers on key Department of Defense (DoD) systems, managing the contract’s overall training efforts and developing curriculum supporting the intentional, technical and professional development of the contracted technical workforce.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for providing technical training to JSSC’s customers on the functional use of the Joint Worldwide Communications System (JWICS) network and systems within the National Military Command Center (NMCC) Command and Control System (NCSS), including but not limited to Automated Message Handling System (AMHS), Global Command and Control System – Joint (GCCS-J), Joint Planning and Execution System (JPES), and Joint Operation Planning Execution System (JOPES), ensuring senior DoD members assigned to the Joint Staff, Combatant Commands and other organizations understand the functionality of the systems and can use them effectively to plan, Command and Control (C2), and execute military operations in support of national defense objectives
  • Responsible for overall training management program, including curriculum development where necessary, supporting Intentional Workforce Development (IWD) within the ICS contracts supporting JSSC operations to include ensuring the contract workforce is capable of providing a wide range of services that are vital to the accomplishment of the JSSC mission, developing course content, researching both governmental and commercially available courses and make recommendations incorporating training into the curriculum, reviewing individual work conducted by contract technicians to gain insight into additional skills development requirements, and creating/maintaining associated training documentation
  • Develop and maintain a training management program supporting enhanced contract performance to include tracking contract training requirements such as those required by DoD Directive 8570 and the contract Performance Work Statement (PWS) to ensure the contract workforce remains in compliance with all required training items during the life of the contract
  • Communicate effectively formally and informally, both verbally and written to include authoring and delivering high-quality, value-add deliverables that represent ICS exceptionally well and build trust in the customer relative to the services provided under this contract
  • Exercise sound independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria associated with obtaining results under this contract including identifying improvements, following ICS innovation and quality processes, and anticipating requirements
  • Interact directly with the customer, customer’s customer, and contract team members positively and productively to establish, maintain, and grow a partnership built on trust, value, and teamwork
  • Improve the customer’s operating environment by providing expert support while also maintaining contract performance/delivery in a complex military environment that is vital to United States National security objectives
  • Compliance with all safety and security requirements, policies, and procedures; worksite access protocols and updates; training requirements, required certifications, and other duties/projects as assigned
 
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
  • Position is located ON-SITE at the Pentagon.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility, AND;
  • High School Diloma OR GED, AND;
  • 5+ years of experience specializing in the delivery of training instruction and services.
PREFERRED
  • Basic Knowledge in Information Technology
  • Experience with Automated Material Handling Systems (AMHS) 
  • Experience with Agile Systems
