Job Summary:
The Technical Recruiter is responsible for bringing Altair and our customers a strong candidate pipeline of innovators in technical and non-technical disciplines. This will be achieved through building relationships with our Account Managers and customers and plays a critical role in ensuring that we are attracting and engaging diverse talent. This role can be based anywhere in the US, Canada or Mexico and can be 100% remote or hybrid.
What You Will Do:
- Maintain technical job applicant pools; identify and qualify sources; research, target, and cold-call potential candidates; resume management, data integrity, skill set matching and tracking.
- Collaborate with business partners to understand overall needs and requirements and develop strategic and tactical recruitment plans.
- Utilize various social media platforms with the goal of attracting the best & brightest, promoting our brand, and building long-term relations with potential talent.
- Efficiently and effectively fill open positions in a timely manner by evaluating and reviewing applicants’ qualifications, skills and experience to determine if they meet position requirements.
- Conduct and arrange prescreening interviews and in conjunction with the hiring manager, arrange and conduct on-site/virtual interviews.
- Partner with business and recruiting teams to help incorporate diversity plans into overall workforce strategy.
- Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups, social media, and employees.
- Maintain current knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws, including Americans with Disabilities Act.
- Maintain knowledge and understanding of engineering and information technology terminology, stay abreast of niche sources, websites, universities, and other potential sources.
What You Will Need:
Basics:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Ability to articulate the Altair employee brand and value proposition to candidates.
- Self-motivated with proven success in sourcing and placing passive and active candidates.
- Ability to multi-task and take initiative.
- Experience with social media and social networks required.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Experience in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, dynamic environment.
- Well organized strategic thinker.
- Must be able to interact professionally with individuals at all levels internally and externally.
- Ability to be professional and maintain confidentiality a must.
- Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (Taleo a plus).
