The Opportunity
  • Technical Program Management: Work closely with Engineering leadership to drive various teams to plan, execute, and complete the delivery of new features, releases, and services to market
  • Domain Experience focused on the Backup & Data Availability or Storage Systems
  • Strategic Operations: Define and deliver on KPIs for the organization, as well as driving strategic operational programs
  • Expertise: Bringing a level of expertise in software development/QA, Technical Program management, product, analytics, and reporting is a requirement
  • Tooling: Experience with JIRA & Confluence for tracking and communication
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations, with a tenacious focus on delivering results

Engineering / R&D at Nutanix
The NCI/NC2 Technical Program Management team at Nutanix consists of eight members, with five located in BLR India and three in San Jose, US. They have achieved numerous successes in delivering hybrid cloud releases with an extensive feature set, catering to a wide range of customers. What sets this team apart is their ability to provide innovative solutions in the field of cloud technology.
Your Role
  • Be responsible for the success of key software releases at Nutanix and be a credible and trusted leader to deliver the SW deliverables to customers with high quality
  • Drive the planning and execution of new features for releases from concept to GA, leading a delivery team of Product Managers, Engineering, QE, and other functional teams to deliver throughout the release phases
  • Drive and deliver critical project features which involve partnerships with multiple different teams across the organization
  • Build and run with the team the release master plan (schedule, dependencies, risks, etc.), using your technical background and product knowledge to dedicatedly identify risks, issues and drive their resolution
  • Be the authority on software life cycle processes and champion standard methodologies, metrics, and high-quality standards with your delivery team
  • Independently and accurately report on the state of your release to executive team and be the trusted speaker on the state of release in key checkpoint reviews
  • Maintain consistently high standards of communication, productivity, and teamwork
  • Obtain outcomes of smooth software features delivery through influence and leadership skills

What You Will Bring
  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 15+ years of experience in software engineering and project/program management. Management Plane area expertise a plus
  • Practical experience in Agile methodologies and PMP a plus
  • Strong software engineering technical background with a real passion for delivering high-performance, quality software
  • Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills. Excellent organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
  • Extraordinary skills influencing, teaming, and delivering solutions in a highly complex and nebulous environment.
  • Ability to build strong relationships across the organization
  • Ability to maintain the urgency for project/program delivery

  • Joined Nutanix in 2016 to lead Technical Program & Releases management. Grew the Technical Program Management team to 8 supporting multiple engineering teams within the core business units.
  • Currently leading the charter for Technical Program Management for Storage, Backup & Data Availability, Networking, Management Plane and Nutanix Cloud product areas. My team consists of very senior team members having a lot of experience prior to joining Nutanix.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 177,600 and USD $ 355,200 per year.
However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
