Job Description Summary

As a Senior Technical Product Manager for GE Healthcare’s Acute Care Data Platform you will conceive, define, accept, deliver, monitor, refine and withdraw clinical data products in the market (and internally) by leveraging and extending the core service offerings of the Acute Care Data Platform.
This individual will conduct customer/market research and work with key stakeholders (including business leaders, finance, marketing, and IT) to develop and convey a product vision. The candidate will also work closely with the product teams to deliver a sustainable and valuable customer experience.
The Acute Care Data Platform team is working on GE HealthCare’s next generation distributed data platform (DDP). It will provide mission critical real-time data about patients and medical devices in acute care settings where patients can be the most vulnerable.
The Senior Technical Product Manager is a critical and highly visible role within the Patient Care Solutions Platform organization. As a leader, this person shall play a key role managing all aspects of product development and delivery of the Acute Care Data Platform.

Job Description

Responsibilities

As the Senior Technical Product Manager for our Acute Care Data Platform, you will be responsible for:

  • Owning the data platform product vision and roadmap: Defining the long-term product vision and strategic direction for the platform, aligned with evolving industry trends and customer needs. Developing a deep understanding of the business goals and processes to inform data product priorities and platform enablers. Establishing product roadmaps and release plans that satisfy requirements and achieve customer outcomes.

  • Deep understanding of the clinical healthcare landscape: Possessing a strong understanding of healthcare data regulations (HIPAA, GDPR, etc..), compliance requirements, and the unique challenges faced by healthcare providers and stakeholders.

  • Demonstrating a solid understanding of data strategy & architecture (e.g., Data Mesh and Data Fabric), modern software engineering best practices and the capabilities of cloud-based platforms (specifically AWS). Monitoring business, market, and technology trends and competitive intelligence to inform product strategy and proactively propose new solutions.

  • Managing product investment decision making and the overall financial performance of the data platform, taking a return-on-investment approach to increasing the value while minimizing costs.

  • Leading the product lifecycle, from ideation and requirements gathering to launch, post-launch monitoring, and iteration.

  • Ensuring that the value proposition and health economic benefits of the Acute Care Data Platform are effectively communicated to target audiences.

  • Effectively communicating and socializing the value proposition of the Acute Care Data Platform to internal and external stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry leaders.

  • Leveraging your role to improve data literacy throughout the enterprise by generating enthusiasm, buy-in and establishing clearly defined KPIs for data as a product.

  • Building & maintaining strong relationships with engineering, data science, finance, sales, and marketing teams to ensure seamless product development and go-to-market strategies.

  • Data-driven decision making. Utilizing data insights to inform product decisions, measure success, and track key performance indicators (KPIs).

Qualifications/Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience as a Product Manager, with 4+ of those years specifically in HealthCare, life sciences, or clinical data technology.

  • Strong understanding of clinical data management, EHR systems, and data interoperability standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR).

  • Proven track record of successfully launching and managing data products in the healthcare or life sciences industry.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends, user needs, and business requirements to drive product innovation.

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and product management tools.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with a passion for improving patient care and clinical research.

  • Experience with design thinking principles and customer experience design.

  • A high degree of empathy: An ability to align and relate to the customers.

  • Highly curious and able to deal with uncertainty.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, including experience leveraging data to inform decision making and assist in solving engineering problems.

The pay range for this position is 130,560.00 - 195,840.00 USD Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). GE HealthCare offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, and tuition reimbursement.
