- Oversee and prepare various tax returns (income, sales, excise) on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Conduct in-depth federal and state tax research to identify areas for mitigating tax risks.
- Review and manage nexus standards for all state taxes, and lead in federal and state tax audits and special tax projects.
- Analyze financials for potential acquisitions, market expansions, and new ventures.
- Collaborate with our internal accounting team and external auditors/consultants.
- Respond effectively to tax authority communications.
Who We're Looking For:- Someone experienced in state and local taxes, holding a bachelor's or master's degree in accounting. CPA preferred.
- A professional with 2-5 years of relevant corporate tax experience in a corporation or public accounting firm.
- Familiarity with CCH Axcess, AnswerConnect, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
