Senior Tax Manager (Trusts & Estates) - Remote

Hoot-Recruit, on behalf of our client, a forward-thinking multi-disciplinary accounting, tax, and advisory firm serving the needs of closely held companies, family-owned businesses, not-for-profit entities, government, and high-net-worth individuals, is searching for a Senior Tax Manager with Trust and Estate experience.

The position is remote in the U.S. if living out of the NJ/NYC area.

Duties

• Be a leader within the Private Client Service / Estate and Trust practice of the Firm
• Develop, supervise and mentor members of the Private Client Service / Estate and Trust team
• Coordinating tax compliance and planning responsibilities for our multistate environment
• Maintaining visibility in the Estate and Trust community
• Maintaining existing business relationships and cultivating new ones
• Maintaining relationships with and advise clients in Estate and Trust matters
• Perform extensive tax compliance, research, consulting and planning for individual, fiduciary, not for profit (private foundation), gift and estate tax

Skills

• Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience with a public accounting and/or professional services firm or law firm
  
• Significant experience providing gift and estate planning strategies to high-net-worth clients
  
• Significant experience in working with estate tax, gift tax and fiduciary income tax returns;
  

• Knowledge of fiduciary accounting concepts

• Technical expertise in relevant areas

• Ability to provide seamless, integrated services to clients

• Strong project management skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting or related field required

• CPA or EA, preferably

Salary: $140,000-$180,000
