Role Description
The Dropbox Tax team has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager of Transfer Pricing, Controversy, and Risk Management, reporting to the Director of Transfer Pricing, Controversy, and Risk Management. This role will partner and collaborate seamlessly with members of the Tax, Finance, Legal and business teams to help drive and support our commercial strategy and lead global Transfer Pricing and for Dropbox.
In this role, you’ll bring enthusiasm for all things Tax and thrive teaming with other smart Tax folks to drive and deliver Dropbox projects and initiatives. You’ll be ready to roll up your sleeves to design and implement Tax processes, policies, best practices, and frameworks to help scale a growing Tax team and function. You are a self-starter who follows through, gets stuff done, and has a passion for navigating Transfer Pricing, Risk Management and controversy.
Responsibilities
Lead global E2E Transfer Pricing planning, compliance (including master file / local files), reporting, and audit defense developing and implementing best practices, tools, and policies
Lead global tax controversy strategies including interfacing with tax authorities
Advise on Transfer Pricing aspects of business expansion including new market entry, supporting new product / service offerings, reorganizations, M&A, etc.
Draft tax process documentation
Perform quarterly Transfer Pricing calculations
Monitor and analyze existing and proposed tax and Transfer Pricing legislation and assist with defining, implementing, and defending strategies while partnering with legal to establish legislative priorities
Collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data and reporting results and recommendations
Prepare ASC 740/FIN 48 analysis and position documentation
Perform financial / economic analyses to build financial valuation models
Draft and review intercompany agreements
Conduct research and tax position strategy developments
Identify opportunities for operational efficiency / transformation and lead and implement these
Requirements
7+ years of Transfer Pricing and global tax controversy experience with progressively increasing responsibilities and accountability
Big Four Public Accounting or Law Firm experience combined with in-house company tax experience
Experience working on and implementing tax controversy and global Transfer Pricing policies, best practices, tools, strategies at scale
Technical expertise and understanding of US, OECD, and global Transfer Pricing/tax laws
Analytical experience with research, economic modeling, valuation, and quantitative analysis skills
Excellent communication skills, strong Excel skills and a self-starter who is able to manage projects independently and proactively
Exceptional prioritization, project management, and organizational skills including an ability to synthesize complex tax matters into simple, concise communications
BA in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business, or equivalent
Advanced degree (MBA, JD, MST, Ph.D.) preferred
Professional certifications (CPA or similar certification) preferred
Ability to thrive in a Virtual First environment as well as with in-person collaboration

Total Rewards
Dropbox takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including job and level they are hired into, location/metropolitan area, skillset, and peer compensation. We target most new hire offers between the minimum up to the middle of the range.
Salary/OTE is just one component of Dropbox’s total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
Current Salary/OTE Ranges (Subject to change): • US Zone 1: $150,000 - $176,500 - $203,000. • US Zone 2: $135,100 - $158,900 - $182,700. • US Zone 3: $120,000 - $141,200 - $162,400. Dropbox uses the zip code of an employee’s remote work location to determine which metropolitan pay range we use. Current US Zone locations are as follows: • US Zone 1: San Francisco metro, New York City metro, or Seattle metro • US Zone 2: Austin (TX) metro, Chicago metro, California (outside SF metro), Colorado, Connecticut (outside NYC metro), Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York (outside NYC metro), Oregon, Pennsylvania (outside NYC or DC metro), Washington (outside Seattle metro), Washington DC metro and West Virginia (DC metro) • US Zone 3: All other US locations
