Senior Tax Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Tax Associate to join our team. The Senior Tax Associate will be responsible for communicating with clients to gather tax organizers and any missing information needed to complete tax preparation. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for helping clients clean up bookkeeping records to complete business tax returns, preparing individual income tax returns, business income tax returns, information returns, and other compliance returns. The Senior Tax Associate will also review individual income tax returns and business income tax returns and communicate with clients across the country via telephone regarding tax matters. The successful candidate will act as an advocate on behalf of clients when communicating with the IRS and other tax authorities.

Starting Salary is $70,000 - $80,000, DOE, plus quarterly bonuses. 

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• EA or CPA preferred. Must be willing to work towards obtaining EA or CPA status
• 2-3 years of experience preparing taxes at a CPA firm
• 3 years of experience preparing individual (1040) federal and state tax returns
• 3 years experience preparing business (1120, 1120S, 1065, 1041) tax returns
• Must be able to effectively organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
• Strong analytical, organizational, and written and verbal communications skills
• Strong Excel skills with pivot table experience
• Tax preparation software experience with Forms 1120,1065, 1120S, and 1040. Experience with CCH Axcess or CCH Prosystem Fx a plus

• Review of individual income tax returns and business income tax returns
• Communicating with clients across the country via telephone regarding tax matters
• Communicating with IRS and other tax authorities as an advocate on behalf of clients
• All other duties that may be assigned from time to time by Company management
