Senior Tax Associate

Job Description: Tax Associate for Business Management Firm Music/Entertainment

We are a Business Management firm that manages finances for musicians, songwriters, producers, and other high-profile clients. We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual to fill the position of Senior Tax Associate.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparation of Corporate, Partnership and Individual tax returns
• Able to analyze financial statements and make corresponding adjusting entries.
• Ability to interact professionally with clients and staff
• Special projects as needed

Requirements:

• Accounting Degree and/ or Masters in Taxation
• CPA or EA preferred
• Knowledge of tax software, preferable CCH Axcess. Should other accounting software have been used, ability to transition those skills to new software
• Strong writing skills to deal with tax notices and audits
• Have used QuickBooks or similar accounting software
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, & Outlook
• Positive attitude, a self-motivator with attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines in a

fast-paced environment

• Excellent verbal, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Bonus if worked with music/entertainment clientele
• 3-7 years of experience

The ideal candidate is someone who is thorough and direct with strong critical thinking skills, and has the ability to prioritize effectively.

Salary: $90-110k base
