The Senior Tax Accountant will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of fund and entity tax filings including collaborating with third-party service providers, preparing, and reviewing tax returns, managing tax payments, and ensuring compliance with partnership agreements.
Responsibilities:
- Review fund and related entity tax filings and liaise with external third-party service provider prepared entity tax workpapers ensuring their agreement with tax filings.
- Work with 3rd party tax preparer to prepare and provide necessary data and review elements of the preparation and processing of returns.
- Assist in the coordination of tax payments.
- Oversee the sales tax payment process at each of our facilities.
- Respond and resolve tax assessments and/or notices including written and verbal communication with the state and local tax authorities.
- Prepare tangible personal property and local tax returns for various states and counties.
- Ensure that tax reporting requirements for investors comply with limited partnership agreement and side letter provisions.
- Provide an effective system of tracking all tax filings for preparation through completion.
- Review investor distributions to coordinate and remit tax withholding as applicable (federal and state)
- Onboard new investors tax data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Respond to investor inquiries.
- BA/BS in accounting, CPA preferred
- 5 - 7 years tax accounting experience with demonstrated experience in partnership taxation.
- Experience in private equity tax accounting, fund structure, and tax reporting implications.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and tax accounting for various entity types including partnerships, limited liability companies, corporations, etc.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, including the ability to communicate professionally and confidentially with people at all levels.
- Must be a motivated, self-starter with the capacity for continuous learning.
- Computer proficiency is required, including Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to quickly learn SROA Capital specific systems.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.

- Ability to research and resolve issues with various degrees of complexity,
- Ability to work as a strong team member as well as an independent contributor.
