Job Description
In partnership with Fiduciary Counseling, Inc. (FCI), we are currently seeking aSenior Tax Accounting & Advisorto perform necessary tax advising, compliance, reporting and planning for FCI clients.
Salary Range: $99,000- $114,000
OUTCOMES:
Provide clear proactive tax advice to FCI clients and FCI client service staff; proactively identify tax minimizing opportunities and strategies.
Prepare and file accurate and timely client tax filings in collaboration with FCI clients, FCI personnel, and outside professionals; identify opportunities to improve methods, processes and procedures of preparing and filing client tax returns.
Conduct, memorialize, and clearly communicate research and analysis to support tax advice, compliance, and planning.
Communicate clearly and effectively with FCI clients, FCI personnel, outside professionals and tax authorities to carry out the duties of a tax professional.
Provide day-to-day support, training and work direction to Tax Accountant & Advisors and Tax Assistants.
Demonstrate leadership within the Tax Group to further FCI’s commitment to quality and continuous improvement of client service and work processes.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Act as an integral member of a client’s FCI client service team; contribute to client meeting planning and, as requested by Client Advisors, attend client meetings to discuss tax strategies and recommendations; manage execution of tax related tasks resulting from client meetings.
Maintain awareness of all aspects of tax compliance for assigned clients; coordinate compliance functions provided by outside professionals.
Review and prepare as needed necessary tax filings for clients, including individual, fiduciary, transfer, partnership, corporate, and foundation tax filings.
Review and prepare as needed quarterly and annual tax liability projections.
Complete administrative tasks necessary to prepare and file accurate and timely tax filings for clients.
Research and provide analysis of tax matters as needed to facilitate tax compliance and planning, communication with tax authorities, and other financial services provided to clients.
Correspond with clients, FCI personnel, outside professionals and the authorities as needed.
Represent client interests in tax compliance audits.
Work directly with and supervise Tax Accountant & Advisors and Tax Assistants through training, day-to-day direction, and providing performance feedback.
Stay current with developments in federal, state, and local income tax laws, applicable pending legislation, industry best practices, and tax minimizing strategies, techniques, and opportunities.
Complete other miscellaneous projects and participate in Company initiatives as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business, accounting or related.
Minimum 5 years related experience.
Professional certification (CPA, CFA, or Enrolled Agent) or an advanced degree (MBT, MBA or JD) required.
Experience with foreign investment holdings a plus.
