MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in each of the following:
1. Systems design, maintenance, analysis, and testing.
2. Complex technology implementations, with an eye toward consistent reengineering and refactoring.
3. Implementing and supporting Microsoft Enterprise technologies (Windows Server, AD, etc.).
4. Supporting and implementing Linux platform services.
5. Architecture and implementation of applications in the cloud, On-premises, and hybrid environments (VMware, Hyper-V, Containerized Services).
6. Leveraging Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) providers and relevant services.
7. Relational databases (e.g., Microsoft SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL), and “NoSQL” databases (e.g., Cassandra, MongoDB).
8. Continuous integration/deployment, and continuous monitoring solutions.
9. Version control systems (e.g., Git and GitHub).
10. Coordinating with business stakeholders to understand their requirements.
11. Direct team members in compiling business requirements and executing project milestones.
12. Documenting enterprise architecture infrastructure.
13. Determining gaps between current and the target architecture and developing plans for transitioning to target architectures.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: System Administrator
1. Minimum of eight (8) years of experience sharing knowledge across a multidisciplinary team and working within various methodologies.
2. Minimum of two (2) years of experience working on IT projects in support of governmental agencies.
PROJECT APPROACH
Work performed under this contract will be through a structured TO process. The process is broken into five clear steps to ensure that all parties understand the work being performed and the amount to be billed against the contract budget upon completion. These steps are as follows:
TASK ORDERS
1. Work initiation begins with a TO from the CDT contract manager to the designated Contractor representative.
2. A TO will outline a series of deliverables that will need to be completed for one of CDT’s Client Orgs. These deliverables will be assigned to one or more of the resources provided under this agreement. See Exhibit A-2, Task Order.
3. The TO will provide background about the Client Org and the deliverable being requested in order to enable the Contractor to make a reasonable estimation of the time and budget that will be required by the resources to complete the TO.
4. Upon receipt of a TO the Contractor will have ten (10) business days to review, ask questions, and complete a Work Authorization (WA).
5. Common tasks for each resource include, but are not limited to, the following:
The System Administrator will be expected to provide server implementation, maintenance, OS, and backup expertise. Some likely tasks for the System Administrator include:
a. Implement technology solutions in alignment with requirements.
b. Perform software or system upgrades.
c. Refine logging and monitoring solutions in alignment with business requirements.
d. Assist with disaster recovery exercises.
e. Implement redundant infrastructure.
f. Capacity and reliability planning.
g. Outline monthly patching procedures.
