As a Senior Supply Chain Manager, you will be reporting to Director and Head of Transportation and responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end Supply Chain operations of a company.  Must be highly motivated problem solver in using data and past experiences in identifying and finding a solution.  Your role will encompass various aspects, including data analytics, Load Planning, and managing staff.
 

Responsibilities:

 

1.  Load Planning

 

- Develop and implement Load Planning strategies to achieve optimal resource utilization and minimize transportation costs. 

- Collaborate with logistics partners and carriers to develop efficient transportation plans and optimize freight consolidation opportunities. 

- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies for Load Planning, including weight restrictions, hazardous materials handling, and customs regulations. 

- Monitor and analyze transportation performance metrics, such as on-time deliveries, cost per mile, and load fill rates, to identify areas for improvement. 

- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including procurement and production, to align Load Planning with inventory availability and production schedules. 

- Optimize Load Planning processes through automation and the utilization of transportation management systems (TMS) for increased efficiency and accuracy. 

- Proactively identify alternative transportation modes and strategies, such as intermodal or multi-modal solutions, to ensure cost-effective Load Planning

 

2. Data Analytics: 

 

- Analyze Supply Chain data, including demand forecasts, sales reports, and inventory levels, to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvements. 

- Utilize advanced analytics tools and techniques to optimize inventory levels, reduce lead times, and enhance overall Supply Chain efficiency. 

- Develop and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and measure the performance of the Supply Chain against established metrics. 

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as sales, finance, and operations, to gather data and insights for demand planning and forecasting. 

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions based on analytical findings. 

- Employ data visualization techniques to present Supply Chain performance and insights to senior management, enabling data-driven decision-making. 

- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for implementing innovative data-driven solutions for Supply Chain optimization. 


3. Managing Staff: 

 

- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of Supply Chain professionals, fostering a positive work environment and nurturing talent development. 

- Set performance goals and objectives for the team, regularly assessing their progress and providing constructive feedback for improvement. 

- Allocate resources effectively, ensuring the right people are assigned to appropriate projects and tasks based on their skills and expertise. 

- Implement training programs and initiatives to enhance the knowledge and skills of the Supply Chain team, keeping them informed of industry best practices and new technologies. 

- Foster cross-functional collaboration by promoting effective communication and coordination among different departments within the Supply Chain function. 

- Conduct performance evaluations, address performance issues, and recognize and reward outstanding contributions within the Supply Chain team. 

- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in regulations related to Supply Chain management, sharing relevant information with the team and implementing necessary adjustments. 


In summary, as a Senior Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for leveraging data analytics to optimize Supply Chain performance, developing efficient Load Planning strategies, and effectively managing staff. Your expertise across these responsibilities will be instrumental in driving continuous improvements, reducing costs, and enhancing overall Supply Chain efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Degree from accredited college in Supply Chain, Business or Data Science

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Demand Planning, or Transportation

  • Minimum 7 years of managing staff members.

  • Experience working in multi-national organization with hierarchical corporate structure preferred.

  • Bi-lingual (Korean) is not required but is a plus 

  • Experience in all modes of transportation in both import, export and domestic Supply Chain is a significant advantage. 

  • Data analytics utilizing various software (TMS, WMS, ERP) or analytic tools such as Tableu, BS Power BI, Python, etc.
