PURPOSE

 

The Senior Data Analyst spearheads strategic initiatives to optimize Supply Chain performance by conducting comprehensive data analysis, standardizing data across systems, and overseeing the collection, transformation, and accurate reporting of critical information. This role plays a pivotal part in driving data quality enhancements and implementing visualization techniques to empower decision-making across diverse functional areas.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct mining, extraction, transformation, interpretation, and validation of data from diverse repositories to ensure accuracy and completeness. 
  • Champion data quality initiatives by facilitating testing and data validation processes.
  • Integrate and ensure standardization of data across various transactional systems and reporting systems within the Supply Chain domain.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Corporate Supply Chain, and Corporate Finance teams to guarantee that data accuracy is in harmony with corporate metrics and aligns seamlessly with overarching initiatives.
  • Collaborate with management and cross-functional teams to elicit requirements, compose functional specifications, and prioritize business segment needs for enhanced metrics and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting within the Supply Chain domain.
  • Automation of repetitive tasks as needed to produce efficiencies for the analytics and Supply Chain teams.  Automation may include - but is not limited to - SQL queries and stored procedures, Power Query and Power BI transformations, web scraping, and Excel macros.
  • Employ statistical methods to analyze, explore, and present data, generate business reports, and provide comprehensive insights for decision-making purposes.  Statistical methods may include - but are not limited to - time series analysis, machine learning, regression analysis, and other predictive modeling.
  • Utilize data visualization techniques to present insightful and actionable information derived from statistical analysis, fostering data-driven decision-making.  Data visualization may include dashboards, graphs showing relationships, and other reporting formats.
  • Advise business partners on the interpretation of visualizations, dashboards, reports, and ad-hoc analyses to help bring forth actionable insights.
  • Respond efficiently to ad hoc information requests and inquiries, supporting stakeholders with relevant data insights.
  • Offer guidance, coaching, and mentorship to a team of peers and subordinates, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages growth and development.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in data mining, statistical analysis, or business analytics
  • Minimum of 5 years of SQL database querying and usage.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Power BI or comparable Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools, demonstrating proficiency in data visualization, dashboard creation, and insightful reporting.
  • Financial Acumen a plus.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA ERP systems a plus.
  • Experience with Python a plus.

 

COMPETENCIES

  • Knowledge of Supply Chain concepts, best practices, and operational research.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
  • Proficient in SQL covering query writing, query optimization, database design, performance tuning, coupled with expertise in stored procedures and functions.
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively and work as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Ability to manage sensitive data and adhere to confidentiality requirements as needed.
  • Ability to compose effective and efficient reports.

In addition to the base wage listed, this position is also eligible to earn an annual bonus subject to changes in plan design and documents and in accordance with applicable law. Eligibility and the amount of the bonus varies based on overall company success, thresholds met and other terms and conditions of the Company's active bonus policy for the respective year.
