Ring Consulting Group (Lansdale, PA), a growing structural engineering and project management firm, is now accepting applications for an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our firm.

Your Impact
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Design elements of projects for new construction and renovations to existing structures. This includes all phases of project development, from preliminary design through final construction documents, in addition to construction phase services. Perform field observations at project sites.
· Design and analyze using various materials including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, concrete and precast concrete, masonry and timber.
· Perform structural engineering analyses, designs and calculations using standard methodology and principles and other viable approaches. Prior use of computer software programs such as Enercalc, RAM Advance & Structural Systems, Staad, AutoCAD and Revit, is desired.
· Ensure engineering designs meet applicable company, local, state, and national codes and standards, including but not limited to IBC, ASCE 7, ACI and AISC.
· Accountable for managing structural design for multiple projects, including engineering schedule and budget performance, quality of engineering solutions and deliverables
· Support technical requests from current and proposed customers.
· Responsible for overseeing the work of junior level staff (EIT and CAD Designer).
· Supervise, develop, evaluate and assign work to junior engineering staff on projects, and serve as a technical advisor providing knowledge and expertise. Common responsibilities include project budgets, tools and/or processes.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
· Valid Professional Engineering Licensure (P.E.) is required. If other than PA, must obtain PA P.E. license.
· Minimum of 7-10 years of structural engineering experience
· Proficient in structural engineering principles and practices and the application to project-related issues.
· Exceptional oral and written communications skills, including the ability to compose letters, outlines, memoranda, reports, and to communicate technical information to others
· Ability to provide guidance and leadership to junior staff or project team members.
· Ability to work as part of a project team and to collaborate with others to explore design solutions.
· Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may occasionally extend beyond the typical workweek.
· Occasional travel may be required, typically within a 2-hour drive (Travel time and expenses are paid).
· Possession and maintenance of a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
· Must be able to drive to and walk-through job sites.
Preferred Qualifications
· Master’s Degree in Engineering.
· Attainment of multi-state PE licenses (NY, NJ, MD, DE, VA).
· Experience mentoring and developing technical capabilities of junior staff.
· Experience managing small to mid-size projects.
Compensation
Starting salary $ 100K - 120K depending on experience.
