Senior Structural Engineer - Civil/Facilities

MJ is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our widely respected and diverse Civil/Facilities Division in any of our East Coast office locations.

This role includes developing and preparing structural design calculations and construction plans for new and renovation of existing public and private buildings and parking garages throughout the East Coast.

The successful candidate must be a licensed Professional Engineer and technically well-versed with a minimum of 15 years of building structural experience including successful Project Engineer / Project Management in the A/E consulting industry.

This position will require some fieldwork travel.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor?s in Civil/Structural Engineering with MS preferred.
• Experience in parking garage layout, design, detailing and construction. Successful candidate will have a minimum of five years of parking garage design experience with the ability to lead a parking garage project and interface with the owner, architect, and entire design team.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure required.
• Solid technical background, 15+ years of Structural Engineering experience.
• Previous successful project management experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication, and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with National Building Codes and design standards. Ability to produce contract documents using Revit software.

Pay Range

The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, which may include, but are not limited to the candidate's work location, relevant experience, educational background, licensure or certifications, and capabilities compared to the requirements of the advertised position.

Pay Range: $55 - $65 / hour
