Senior Structural Engineer

Hire Resolve’s client is a leading Structural Engineering firm that is urgently seeking the expertise of a Senior Structural Engineer in Knoxville, TN.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Structural Engineering services that meet its customers' and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.
• Initiate, manage and if required supervise Structural Engineering project requirements.
• Perform Structural Engineering services such as:
• participate in relevant meetings, prepare progress reports and follow required checking procedures;
• ensure the project scope is clear and that changes comply with project change management processes;
• provide assistance and advice during procurement, construction and commissioning activities. For example, write requisitions, conduct technical bid evaluations and write purchase orders.
• If required, act as the Structural Engineering Lead on specific projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
• Ability to obtain professional engineering licensure after meeting experience requirements for relevant state board
• Knowledge in the preparation of structural design, drawings, specifications, and technical memoranda
• Able to work independently coupled with strong communication skills to interface with other consultants, clients and co-workers on multi-discipline projects
• Experience with computer-aided structural analysis and finite element modeling
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Strong technical writing skills
• Willingness to travel within US and Canada for short/longer term assignments
