As the Strategic Sourcing Manager, you are an integral leader in the long-term success of the Smart Energy & Thermal Solutions (SETS) business. This position is responsible for supporting the execution of global sourcing strategies across driving competitive commodity and category supply strategies to achieve the lowest Total Cost, reduced Working Capital, Value Engineering and Sole/ Single Source elimination. This role will establish and execute breakthrough initiatives designed to deliver results in current and future market/industry conditions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the long-term supply plan and coordinate the resolution of critical component supply issues (including Escalation to Direct Materials Center of Excellence-DMCOE, and R&D for support).
- Gather information and publish the supplier capacity for key product lines considering manufacturing and test capacity. Work with Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) and other functions where a capacity increase is required.
- Coordinate the long-term buy (LTB) requirements with the site and supplier in support of the component Lifecycle process.
- Drive a continuous and proactive review of supplier tooling health in conjunction with AME and Supplier quality.
- Manage the site-specific Excess & Obsolete (E&O) process which includes liaising with the supplier and planning on excess and obsolescence claims generated as result of demand drop /ECN-Engineering Change Notice/ EOL-End of Life. In parallel liaise with Site and ISC finance on E&O balances, consigned stock, and credit / payment.
- Ensure timely new pricing implementation and review and approve /reject purchase price variance requests from suppliers to support meeting delivery schedule.
- Support other business functions such as NPI, Quality, AME, and Transitions to ensure seamless execution of ongoing projects the supplier.
- Plan and manage the CAPEX budgets within the Commodity and work with engineering on VE/CE (Value engineering/Cost enhancement) opportunities.
- You will ensure compliance with company business policies and procedures and export/import regulations.
YOU MUST HAVE:
- Bachelor's Degree in a Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of work experience in related fields
- Experience working in a discrete manufacturing, sourcing organization
- 25% travel
- Commercial mindset & strategic acumen with the ability to influence senior leadership
WE VALUE:
- Master's degree
- Extensive experience in Strategic Sourcing, commodity/category management, and procurement
- CPIM and/or CPM certification desired.
- Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification desired.
- Strong leadership skills to work across all functions and levels of an organization; ability to lead change; effectively establishes high-performing teams and role models high performance standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for velocity plus effective listening skills; effective facilitation skills; demonstrates high energy and models behaviors to motivate the team.
- Persistent drive for results utilizing sound project management, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to make sound business judgments related to strategic supply philosophies and initiatives.
