We're growing our infrastructure team - become a valued person on the Server-Storage team at Graco! This is a unique opportunity for someone with the right skillset to come in and make a real difference. Graco is a worldwide company, and we currently have 38 locations in 14 countries, including the US.
We're looking for someone to come in and share ownership of our storage environment. Someone with the skills, the experience, and the passion to help transform our NetApp environment to world class levels.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead and participate in design, implementation, configuration, and security compliance activities of SAN and NAS Storage Systems
  • Maximize the storage infrastructure functionality and recommend optimal improvements for availability, performance, system resource optimization, and disaster recovery readiness
  • Ensure data is accessible through secured protocols and recommended vendor and industry standards
  • Patch management for all SAN and NAS Storage Systems
  • Provision and decommission storage in accordance with documented procedures
  • Manage and troubleshoot NFS exports and CIFS Shares
  • Identify automation opportunities by communicating and collaborating with the team and automate repeatable task using scripting & Ansible
  • Proactively manage SAN and NAS storage environments by monitoring alerts, incoming work pipelines, and by troubleshooting complex hardware and performance issues
  • Troubleshoot issues across development, test, and production systems
  • Interface with SAN and NAS storage technology vendors to resolve complex challenges
  • Own the activities for knowledge documentation and operational standards for SAN and NAS storage management activities
  • Participate in change control lifecycle activities
  • Participates in On-Call rotation support
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience in production support of Storage & Backup Administration of a large scale, multi-site NetApp environment
  • Expert level knowledge of large-scale SAN and NAS storage (NetApp FAS and AFF, Cisco MDS, Synology, IBM FS5100)
  • NetApp Storage Administration certification is preferred
  • Advanced to expert knowledge of technologies such as operating systems (AIX, Linux, Windows, VMware)
  • Understanding of application /database design & integration with SAN and NAS Storage Systems
  • Expert knowledge in networking as related to server environments and virtualization.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate a high degree of personal & professional initiative
  • Proven experience in mentoring and coaching junior team members
