Children's Home Society, in Sioux Falls, SD is currently seeking a Full Time Senior Staff Accountant- Gift Processing to provide support for all Children's Home Society and Children's Home Foundation gift and pledge accounting functions.
What You'll Do:
- Receive, review, and document incoming donations, which may include checks, cash, credit card payments, and electronic transfers.
- Accurately record donor information, gift amounts, and the purpose of the donation in the customer relationship management system.
- Monitor and record pledges made by donors, ensuring they are properly documented and recorded in the financial system.
- Generate financial reports related to gift receipts, pledge status, and donor giving history for fundraising and financial reporting purposes.
- Compile financial information and relevant documentation required for the IRS form 990, including details on donations, fundraising activities, and compliance with nonprofit regulations.
- Review monthly general ledger reconciliations and other financial reconciliations performed by Staff Accountants.

Compensation: $52,000-$65,000 (Depending on Education and Experience)
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM- 4:30 PM

Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred.
- Experience: Minimum two years accounting experience.
- Must be competent in utilization of Microsoft Office products, with emphasis on Excel.
