SalaryTITLE: Senior SQA Engineer
Duties: Design and implement procedures and strategies for software testing to ensure the quality and proper installation of AFL’s internal software. Create, enhance and maintain automated test scripts in collaboration with other SQA team members. Research existing and recommend new software test strategies based on QA industry standards and engineering specifications. Interpret test results and recommend procedures for all phases of software testing on specific products. Establish software test coverage and automation to deliver quick-to-market product while maintaining a high level of quality. Conduct software compatibility tests and report findings to the Software Engineering Manager. Identify and document software defects of existing applications and provide technical guidance on software usability and functionality to management and staff members. De-bug and troubleshoot code to improve Software Quality. Check software to ensure programs are performing properly. Identify and investigate software defects and problems with program function in product design reviews. Ensure testing procedures are in compliance with industry specific standards and testing specifications. Teleworking permitted within a reasonable commuting distance of the Westford, MA office.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Computer Science or a closely related computer or engineering field and two (2) years’ experience as a Software Test Engineer, Lab Coordinator or related role where required experience gained.
SPECIAL SKILLS: Also requires experience in the following:
- Contributing to and maintaining the testing framework for various types of testing on multiple mobile platforms, such as iOS/Android;
- Providing software testing status information with which management can make informed quality decisions about an application under test;
- Identifying and documenting software defects and de-bugging and troubleshooting code to improve Software Quality;
- Test automation tools; and
- Software and Hardware interoperability.
