Job Description:

The Contractor shall provide a Senior Software Engineer/Architect that will be responsible for full life-cycle support including development, maintenance, administration, and management and provide a total system perspective including a technical understanding of relationships, dependencies and requirements of hardware and software components for a project, and the overall computing environment and architecture in the DoD.

Responsibilities:

• Provide analysis and assessments and test evaluation of potential high payoff communications capabilities in support of the PEO C3T global war-fighter C5ISR support plan.
• Support the Government by performing trade-off studies for system level design and material acquisition of tactical communication systems implement and test such methodologies and devices.
• Serve as an expert for providing technical guidance and information to meet requirements.
• Responsible for independently designing, modifying, and installing portions of the network infrastructure.
• Responsible to ensure non-functioning network components are repaired/replaced in a timely manner through maintenance contracts.
• Review, assist and mentor subordinate employee's work for quality and accuracy.
• Serve as FSR lead.
• Experience in Field Engineer support of Tactical C5ISR systems in an OCONUS region supporting units in combat operations and/or advise/assist missions is preferred.

Qualifications:

• Thorough knowledge of Windows, Unix, Linux, virtualization, routing/switching and databases
• Experience with Virtualization software (VMWare, Cloud Virtualization)
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
• Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert or AWS Solutions Architect

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science, or Information Systems, or Engineering, or related scientific or technical discipline
• In-depth knowledge of the Army and DoD IT policies and governance and be an expert in the constraints our DoD environment puts on implementation of COTS products
• Experience with Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) and/or Mongo DB, and/or Jive, and/or MediaWiki, and/or WordPress and other open-source systems
