Form of workCommIT is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with demonstrated expertise supporting Theater Battle Management Core Systems – Marine Corps (TBMCS-MC) in Stafford, VA or Crane, IN. The successful candidate must have an excellent understanding of, and experience in systems engineering, specifically software development and software testing. This position will be responsible for providing subject matter expertise in the testing, engineering, and system management and administration of new TBMCS builds.

Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to-
- Support the development and implementation of end-to-end Test & Evaluation (T&E) support for TBMCS and emerging Joint Air Command and Control (C2) applications. Support shall include developing operationally realistic test concepts, risk assessment determinations, operational data requirements, interface requirements, test planning, test execution and test reporting across the C2 framework of Joint Air Operations.
- Support software development and Systems of Systems (SoS) architecture for new capabilities.
- Assist with the development of new deployment strategies.
- Assist with development and/or traceability of requirements.
- Support Program Executive Officer Land Systems (PEO LS) by coordinating with the Combined Test Force (CTF) to support Joint Air C2 testing to include the Air Operations Center Weapon System (AOC WS) development and sustainment activities and TBMCS Force Level development and sustainment activities and modernization activities of emerging Air C2 applications.
- Provide acquisition engineering and process support by reviewing any PEO LS Air Command & Control and Sensor Netting (AC2SN) training and fielding TBMCS-R and TBMCS-MC documentation and products. Support shall include assisting in the updates of the following: T&E planning; mission threads; and Concept of Employment Guides.
- Advise and support the PEO LS for USMC Air C2 programs by providing technical Air C2 domain knowledge to augment independent cybersecurity evaluation teams performing formal testing (Annual Security Review, Cyber Compliance Test) as part of acquisition program certification and accreditation (C&A) activities.
Required Experience and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; MS in Engineering preferred.
- Expert knowledge of Aviation Command and Control Systems (AC2S)
- Expert knowledge of Air Battle Management capabilities
- Thorough understanding of DevSecOps and the Agile process
- Ten (10) years of professional experience, with six (6) years of equipment specific experience
- Six (6) of the ten (10) years must detail progressively increasing levels of responsibility in organizations and task experience.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
- Ability to interpret complex internal customer requirements and attitudes from verbal, non-verbal, and written communication.
