The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. What you will do:
- Design, code, integrate, unit test and document software.
- Troubleshoot hardware/software interface issues.
- Perform software debugging using appropriate techniques and tools.
- Performs in cross-functional team efforts in integration, verification and validation for products and sub-systems.
- Provides engineering estimates for own work on tasks similar to those previously performed.
- Contribute to Software Engineering requirements capture, analysis and creation for well-defined software designs.
- Document all steps required to load required operating systems, software, drivers, and operational loads on computer system.
- Define and implement solutions required to meet customer requirements.
- Document design and implementation artifacts as required.
- Individual job duties may vary.
- May lead smaller team efforts.
- May be an expert in a given aircraft system, simulation concept, or development tool
Education and experience:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Skills you must have:
- A working knowledge of C/C++
