About this role

Role overview

• This is the first frontend-focused engineering role at Anon and will play a crucial role leading development for Anon’s developer portal, developer docs site, and UI/UX across our mobile (iOS and Android) and browser SDKs (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.).

• This role will own frontend development efforts, working closely with our design, product, and engineering teams, to build a seamless experience both for the developers who are Anon’s customers, and for end-users leveraging Anon for auth and access management embedded within our customers’ applications.

• This is a mid-senior level IC role responsible for technical architecture, writing and reviewing code, and collaborating with our backend engineers to manage news releases.

  • This role can grow into a Frontend Lead role responsible for building out the team and function as Anon continues to scale.

Role responsibilities

• Design and develop Anon’s developer experience across our developer docs and developer console web app.

• Architect Anon’s Developer Console using modern frontend technologies for styling, components, state management, and data loading.

• Enable account creation, management, and billing functionality within the developer console to enable comprehensive account management for our customers.

• Develop Anon’s user-facing UI/UX ensuring compatibility across our mobile (iOS, Android) and browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, etc.) products.

• Implement user-centric design principles in conjunction with our Design team, including conducting UX research and usability testing to improve the user journey.

• Collaborate with internal teams including our design and backend teams to align API development, new features, and bug fixes with company goals and customer needs.

• Manage releases of the developer console through correct semantic versioning, crafting release notes, and contributing to our product update newsletter.

• Ensure robustness and observability of the developer console by implementing test suites and telemetry to meet a high bar of quality.

Experience required

• At least 3-5 years of experience in full-stack development, with a focus on frontend development of complex web applications.

• Experience owning releases of a customer-facing product.

• Experience implementing end-to-end tests using browser automation tools such as Cypress or Playwright.

• Bonus points if you have built developer experiences including customer-facing developer portals or developer docs.

• Prior work in fast-paced, product-driven environments, ideally as a founder, founding engineer, or early employee at a venture-backed startup.

Skills required

• Proficiency in front-end technologies (e.g., TypeScript, React, Tailwind).

• Proficiency in back-end frameworks (e.g., Node.js, REST, GraphQL).

• Strong skills in UI/UX design principles, with examples of previous work.

• Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems.

• Strong team player with excellent communication skills, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Agile and flexible approach to work, with an ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation Range: $120K - $185K
