Job Description
US Bank is building a new team to launch a new platform for BNPL products and point of sale lending. As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll bring your experience across the full stack of a cloud-native, customer-facing, software solution. Your contributions and technical leadership will help us design, build, deploy, and operate a modern architecture that can help the business learn and iterate quickly.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain end-to-end features.
• Leverage your experience with object-oriented design principles and use design patterns to communicate effectively with your team.
• Contribute to the architecture of a complex SaaS financial technology platform.
• Work together with Product, Design, and Scrum Leads to effectively plan and execute on new features with stability, scalability, testability and performance in mind.
• Stay on top of the latest technology, recommending new tools, techniques, and patterns when it makes sense.
• Strive for code quality, engineering discipline, and team collaboration.
• Play a key role in mentoring and leading a distributed (onshore/offshore) team of engineers.

Our Tech Stack

• The platform frontend is written in React.js with Redux and Sagas.
• Back-end services are written with Springboot with GraphQL and PostgreSQL.
• Data pipelines are managed with Kafka.
• Potential to expand to other languages and technologies.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Five to six years of relevant experience
Preferred Skills/Experience

• 5+ years of software development experience
• Deep knowledge of JavaScript or JS-related languages such as TypeScript
• Building complex apps using React / Redux
• SME in Springboot, GraphQL and PostgreSQL.
• Creating RESTful APIs and http services using Java / Springboot (preferred) or other languages such as NodeJS / TypeScript
• Fluent in SQL, with experience in designing and optimizing relational Databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
• Proficient in writing tests (unit, integration, e2e)
• Managing source code with Git version control
• Deploying applications with CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Conversant in Site Reliability Engineering principles

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, US Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401k contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $112,880.00 - $132,800.00 - $146,080.00
