Senior Software Engineer

CALCULEX is a leader in developing high tech solutions for the acquisition, recording, and processing of data often supporting developmental and operational test of military and commercial airborne systems.  CALCULEX is comprised of a small team of highly trained, skilled and motivated Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, FPGA Code Designers, Firmware and Software Programmers, and Technicians.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
• 5 years’ experience with Linux & U Boot
• 5 years’ experience writing and editing low level drivers
• 5 years’ experience architecting and organizing board support packages
• 5 years’ experience with system on chip, Stratix 10, Ultra Scale Plus, Arria 10, including communications between hard processors and the FPGA.
• Familiarity with ARM Processors, A9, A5, A53
• 5 years’ experience with Ethernet communications, 10GbE, 10G+
• 5 years’ experience configuration management and version control
• Experience designing ruggedized airborne recorders highly desirable

Job Responsibilities:

• Design Software Code to:
  • support the operation of existing systems
  • systems in development
  • applications to communicate with and provide set up support for existing and new systems.
• Develop and deploy computer applications.
• Execute code builds to test developed software and generate simulations
• Correct deficiencies in existing code
• Collaborate with product, design, and marketing teams
• Maintain documentation per company standards
• Provide testing, documentation, training, and support for software products
• Resolve user-submitted problems and questions

Qualifications/Skills:

• Understanding of object-oriented Software Engineering
• Track record of successful application development
• Ability to write clean, well-documented code
• Excellent complex problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Working knowledge of SQL and Microsoft SQL Server
• Solid troubleshooting and communication skills
• Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking abilities
