Title: Senior Software Engineer

Location: 1414 South Tryon St, Charlotte, NC 28203

Duties: Design and develop financial software applications using Agile approach. Work with application architects, business analysts, other developers, and QA analysts (both in-house and vendor) while being fully responsible for development deliverables. Design and develop financial software applications primarily using .Net and JAVA/J2EE, Angular and Python. Work on Spring Framework and manage micro-services. Evaluate functional requirements for new requests, estimate effort involved, and determine resource allocations that each request would require. Collaborate with a team of developers working on the design, coding, and delivery of web 2.0 interface using Angular, RxJS, Java, and AWS. Conduct daily scrums with development team. Conduct code reviews, design reviews, architecture reviews. Document the design and code as per the PDLC standards. Work in agile environment, estimating effort and tracking progress towards key deliverables. Design and implement Spring boot microservices. Architect and document system design. Implement Angular user interfaces. Integrate with downstream and upstream applications and services. Build and deploy AWS Lambda. Deploy applications to AWS cloud infrastructure. Plan deployment and releases. Prepare and support production deployments. Guide and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field plus five (5) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or in a related position performing software development and designing technical solutions. Must have experience with the following: providing technical support, including troubleshooting, analyzing, and resolving defects in production, UAT, and stage environments; applying knowledge of multithreading concepts, design patterns, and software development methodologies, including Agile, and Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment; working with CI/CD tools and AWS Cloud Products, Core Java, J2ee, Spring, Hibernate, JMS, JDBC, Python, SQL/PLSQL, Unix, Shell, JavaScript, Html, CSS, Angular, NPM, Typescript, Eclipse, and automated testing tools, including Junit and Jacoco; and using build tools and version control systems, including Maven, GIT, and Subversion.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $149,469 to $162,550, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
