Senior Service Inspection Technician

THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELL 
Sciens Building Solutions is seeking a Senior Service Inspection Technician to provide inspection and maintenance capabilities. This position will work closely with our sales team, field project teams, and clients to ensure our customers’ systems are inspected and maintained in a code-compliant manner. This is a key position for our growing team and requires attention to detail in all aspects of executing projects. Customer and employee interface require a high degree of effective human relations. Communication skills, both verbal and written, are important elements of the position. 
 
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (and doing well!)

• Responsible for reviewing system layouts, and coordinating with the systems and service departments for a successful project execution. 
• Produce field surveys and daily project activity logs. 
• Responsible for inspecting and maintaining fire alarm and security systems. 
• Produce detailed inspection and deficiency reports in accordance with NFPA.
• Responsible for delivering projects on schedule and within cost budgets. 
• Responsible for logging and transmitting inspection reports via laptop computers.
• Oversight for project inventory and responsible for vehicle inventory. 
• Provide support, guidance, and expertise to the other inspectors.  

WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU

• Five years of experience in an inspector technician role within the fire alarm or security industry. 
• Knowledge of low voltage systems overall including, but not limited to - fire, security, access control, PA system, CCTV, data network and audio video systems.
• NICET level II recommended. 
• Proficient in NFPA 72 code requirements.
• California Fire Life Safety Card
• California Voice Data Video Card
• Ability to read fire alarm and security system design drawings. 
• Ability to work under tight deadlines.   
• Ability to manage job scheduling and job progress in an efficient and cost-effective manner, with a strong focus on quality. 
• Proficient in issue resolution. 
• Excellent organizational, decision-making, and communication skills. 
• Knowledge of fire and security industry. 
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards. 
• Customer-focused; skilled in project and people management.

COMPENSATION

$57.11 per hour
