ABOUT THIS ROLE
Position: Senior Security Operations Analyst
Responsibilities: Responsible for working in Senior Security Operation Center (SOC) team environment developing plans to safeguard computer files against unauthorized modifications, destruction, or disclosure to meet emergency data processing needs. Investigate security threat incidents using SIEM and UEBA technologies, packet captures, reports, data visualization, and pattern analysis. Analyze, escalate, and assist in remediation of critical information security incidents. Perform risk assessments and execute tests
of Apex's data processing systems to ensure functioning of activities and security measures. Improve and challenge existing processes and procedures in a very agile and fastmoving information security environment. Position will be headquartered in Chicago, IL but is a telecommuting position, allowing for remote employment from various unanticipated worksites throughout the United States.
Educ./experience: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field, plus five (5) years of post-baccalaureate experience as Threat Intelligence Analyst, Cyber Security Consultant, or related role. Experience must include SIEM technologies, MITRE ATT & CK framework, IOCs/IOAs, TTPs, exploits, vulnerabilities, and Threat Intelligence. Position will be headquartered in Chicago, IL but is a telecommuting position, allowing for remote employment from various unanticipated worksites throughout the United States.
