Klaviyo is looking for a Senior Security Engineer to add to our growing Security Intelligence Operations organization. This is a hands-on technical role that involves a blend of: Threat Intelligence, threat hunting, Security Engineering, developing, deploying and maintaining technologies, and solving complex security problems in support of the Security Intelligence Operations organization. As a Senior Security Engineer you will have the opportunity to provide Threat Intel & Hunt thought leadership, take ownership of the end-to-end Threat Intel & Hunt lifecycle, and execute on core engineering efforts.
How you will make a difference:
- Design, deploy and maintain Threat Intel & Hunt technologies (e.g., TIP, Deception Endpoints)
- Build tools, integrations and automations in support of Threat Intel & Hunt operations
- Serve as Threat Intel subject matter expert and stay current on emerging threats
- Conduct threat research and track threat actor TTPs applicable to Klaviyo
- Conduct threat hunts based on internal and external Threat Intelligence
- Grow threat research capabilities to include extraction of IOCs and TTPs via digital forensics
- Serve as a member of the broader Security Intelligence Operations and support with incidents
- Mentor, develop, grow engineers within the team
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- 4+ years of security operations or engineering experience in modern cloud environment
- Hands-on experience in Threat Intelligence, threat hunt, and security operations
- Experience designing, deploying and maintaining Threat Intelligence Platforms
- Experience building tools, integrations and automations
- Expertise in Linux and MacOS internal and security investigations
- Strong understanding of techniques, tools and procedures (TTPs) used by threat actors
- Hands-on experience with SIEM and centralized logging (e.g., Splunk, Snowflake)
- Experience with scripting and coding languages to build/automate (Python, Go)
- Experience securing cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, and/or Azure
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code
- Automation-first approach for all work performed
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Team player with a strong, self-managing work ethic
The pay range for this role is listed below. Sales roles are also eligible for variable compensation and hourly non-exempt roles are eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable law.
