Akamai's Information Security Team within Security Compliance is looking for a creative, detail-oriented problem-solver to help operationalize and mature our GRC platform and processes. You will work with members of the Security Compliance Team along with business stakeholders to support the GRC tool improvements and to operationalize and mature the program.

Akamai's InfoSec Team is responsible for safeguarding the security of Akamai's infrastructure and providing internal advocacy for security practices. Our team works closely with product/platform teams to ensure that Akamai systems meet both the safety/Security Compliance needs of our customers and the public.
As a Senior Security Compliance Specialist , you will be responsible for:
- Being a subject matter expert and driving operationalization work on the Akamai GRC tool
- Staying up to date with industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging trends in Security Compliance and GRC
- Monitoring and reporting on compliance metrics, trends, and issues to management and relevant stakeholders
- Developing and implementing GRC strategies and workflows to mitigate risk, improve harmonization and achieve compliance objectives
- Analyzing existing processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and recommend process engineering solutions
- Working with ServiceNow architects in designing and implementing GRC solutions in the ServiceNow platform
- Providing guidance and training to end-users on GRC processes and system functionality
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have 8 years of experience and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Management Information Systems, or related field
- Possess experience with ServiceNow Integrated Risk Management (IRM) and Audit modules
- Have a solid understanding of Risk and Control frameworks
- Have a real desire to improve information security and have a learning mindset
- Demonstrate experience collaborating with stakeholders to identify and document compliance workflow and operational requirements
- Have experience participating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between GRC initiatives and business objectives

Compensation
Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $113,430 - $170,043/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
