Rancho Biosciences is seeking a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist to provide analytical services in a variety of client-facing roles. Work from home while supporting high-impact pharmaceutical, academic, and institutional scientific research programs. A proven track record of collaborative and independent contributions to human genomic, transcriptomic and clinical data projects is required. A broad working knowledge of modern software tools and current best practices in the field is also critical. Requirements
- PhD (or equivalent industry experience) in Bioinformatics, Biology, or related field
- Hands-on experience with NGS data and demonstrated expertise in relevant topics
- Amazing communication skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in best practice programming with R or Python
- Familiarity with a broad range of public data sources (e.g. GEO, TCGA, CPTAC, UKBB, GTEx)
- Drive to learn new analysis methodologies and tools
- Independently driven and hardworking
Desired Experience
- Experience analyzing spatial transcriptomics, single cell -omics, and/or multi-omics is strongly desired.
- Experience working in a team of multidisciplinary scientists and coordinating work across various roles.
- Experience with writing reports and presenting results to clients.
