Bloomberg is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior SAP ABAP Developer to join our dynamic team in New Jersey. As a Senior SAP ABAP Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining SAP solutions to meet the business needs of our global organization. With over 10 years of experience in SAP ABAP development, you will play a critical role in enhancing and optimizing our SAP systems to ensure efficiency and effectiveness across various business functions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. SAP Development: Design, develop, test, and implement SAP solutions using ABAP programming language, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
2. Customization and Enhancement: Customize existing SAP functionalities and develop enhancements to meet specific business requirements, collaborating closely with business stakeholders and functional teams.
3. Integration: Integrate SAP systems with other applications and technologies, such as SAP modules, third-party tools, and external systems, to enable seamless data flow and process automation.
4. Performance Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks in SAP applications and implement optimizations to enhance system performance and scalability.
5. Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for SAP production issues, investigating root causes and implementing timely resolutions to minimize business impact.
6. Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, design documents, and user manuals, to ensure comprehensive documentation of SAP solutions and configurations.
7. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including SAP functional consultants, business analysts, project managers, and infrastructure teams, to deliver integrated solutions that align with business objectives and project timelines.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development, with expertise in ABAP programming, object-oriented concepts, and SAP development tools.
- Extensive experience in developing and customizing SAP modules such as FI/CO, SD, MM, and HR, as well as integration technologies like IDoc, RFC, and BAPI.
- Strong understanding of SAP data structures, tables, and data dictionary objects, with proficiency in debugging and performance tuning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex SAP projects, from requirements gathering to implementation and post-go-live support.
- SAP certifications in ABAP development and related modules are a plus.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA and Fiori development is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of SAP security concepts and experience in implementing role-based access controls (RBAC) is preferred.
